your charged the same per head for the ski tube!. Perisher and vail claim its the most convenient and safest way to the resort, well why does everyone I talk to on the mountain try to avoid using it at all costs! Its because national parks pass is $30 per vehicle or $200 per year per vehicle. since vail resorts became involved with perisher, its been an optional extra. At one point in my life, the ski tube was part of your ticket. while I stayed at the sundeck this week, there was 2 whole mornings that no run at blue cow was even groomed! What are we really paying for? The ski tube is an absolute rip off now. pretty bad if your trying to find out if say night skiing is on! The grooming is absolutely awful! some might disagree but compared to what I experienced in say 2015, it seems like its rushed which puts holes in the grooming which can be hazardous. my chief complaints are the communication, grooming and above all the ski tube! you can only email perisher with questions (their FAQs are useless) and get a reply within a week if your lucky. what I cant accept is the communication with perisher (or lack of it) and the general sense that our snow experience is more about keeping their staff happy as apposed to the persons who pay the coin to ski there. We've accepted its great value even tho its a gamble with the aussie snow season. Now my mate, myself and members of my family have been buying the epic pass since it was called the freedom Pass. Highly recommend the sundeck, and I wish Cliff and his wife all the best for the future. Just finished a trip to the sundeck Hotel for 7 days (Sunday to Sunday). I've been going to perisher since I was 5 yrs old. Apparently Thredbo caters for family's wanting a snow experience going up the mountain by letting you go on a chair lift, so good on them whoever owns that resort. Another thing about ski school is that it starts at 10 and finishes at 1pm, kids in the 3 to 6 group have a hard time missing lunch and are more likely to become grumpy and disinterested as happened to my son. His parents weren't allowed to take him? He was escorted by a female which i though strange in such a climate we have these days. Another strange thing I witnessed was a child in ski school needing the toilet. Take plenty of money for your food as a hotdog will cost you 15 bucks and a sausage roll over 8. Perisher says you can't do that either you must get off? So if you go to perisher you can forget a refund if you need it. Perisher said no pedestrian traffic? So I said how about we wear our skis and go up and come back down. We had picture perfect ski conditions so since my son didn't want to ski I thought a trip to the top would be a memorable experience in the snow. Perisher stated a med certificate is required and even then you would only receive a credit So day one wasted. My son still had a lift ticket for the following day which perisher would not refund. 1st day my 6 yr old bailed out of ski school before it finished as he did not want to ski anymore, this required a day lift pass which frankly should not be required for a 15m magic carpet. Spent over $900 on ski school and lift tickets dollars for a family holiday for 3 people skiing for 2 days.
